** Spring Break, Website!!!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the much needed break from the spring semester, whether it be here on campus or on some exotic isle! With your return, hopefully the weather will bring spring breezes and sunshine, but in the meantime some exciting news to keep the gears turning! Presidential Update

We are honored and excited to introduce Wharton Design’s new Presidents, Katy Bennett and Vaughn Baker!

co presidents 2014-2015.png

Katy brings experience spanning marketing, advertising and design. She began her career in the advertising world at Ogilvy & Mather NYC working on integrated campaigns for big brand clients in the technology, spirits, and education sectors. Later she gained expertise in brand development at a boutique design firm in St. Louis. When Katy's not in creative problem-solving mode, she spends her time on social impact work, including a year stint working with refugees, service trips to Latin America and leading a Wharton International Volunteer Program trip to the Dominican Republic.

Vaughn is a native Texan and California transplant who brings the traditional MBA's perspective to the club with 8 years of experience in sales and finance. He fell in love with design as an undergrad at the University of Oklahoma and became an advocate for design thinking as a business tool while working in banking. By learning from nimble competitors in his industry, he identified major opportunities to improve processes - originally developed around his bank's needs and capabilities - by focusing development around customer needs and targeted experiences. Dave and Hiro are working with Katy and Vaughn to form a strong board of VP’s heading into the summer and fall semester. In the following newsletters, Katy and Vaughn plan to share their vision for the coming year and look forward to hearing from all of you!

Innovation Summit

The Innovation Summit was a big success again this year! It’s our annual conference co-organized with Yale’s School of Management and Columbia Business School. This year, we have several board members to thank for the success. Thank you June Chang (VP), Emma Gow (VP), Audrey Zhao (Director) and Dan Ng (Director)! We can’t wait to see what Audrey and Dan come up with next year :)
