We're writing to remind you about tomorrow's Designing Social Impact event, organized in conjunction with Social Impact Club as part of Social Impact Week. Here are all the details:
Monday November 11th, 12PM - 1:20PM, JMHH 370
Design thinking is an empathy based approach to problem solving, rooted in observation and the careful consideration of new approaches to old problems. Applying these principles is important for every business, but even more so for nonprofits and businesses striving for social impact. At this Design Club meeting, co-sponsored by the Social Impact and Consulting Clubs, we will introduce the basics of design thinking before introducing our panel. With experiences spanning the globe, from creating Community Centers in Bangkok to designing latrines and bamboo bicycles in Ghana, our panel will detail how they've used design thinking (a'la IDEO and frog) to solve some big problems. Our panel is composed of students from Wharton, the Architecture School and the Integrated Product Design masters program.
This event is part of Social Impact Week, please RSVP (so we get a headcount for lunch) and see the other events here: http://whartondesignclub.us3.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=d073e07989ca2b0053218c9de&id=f22612e581&e=4b88744fb2
